Fire Ceremony
The Fire Ceremony is the ritualistic center of the Maya Cosmovision. Here we give thanks to nature for the opportunity to live, grow, heal, create and elevate our consciousness. We recognize the masculine and feminine, the light and darkness of our beings.
It is a call to the ancestors, to the family and to the recognition of the Nawales or Chumiles, energy governing archetypes of time and human evolution.
We honor what we are, we recognize our faults and assume the responsibility of paying the consequences of our actions to open the way for the manifestation of the Winaq in each one, human being in fullness and totality before himself and his community.
We pray for the new that is to come, for what is beginning and for what is ending. We give thanks for what has been obtained and also for what has gone. We light the fire on the altar as a symbol of the fire that shines in the heart of every man of “corn”.
